A Lifetime Dedicated to Education and St. Clair County

Gregory Ryan Cobb, Ed.D., was born and raised in St. Clair County, Alabama, and he is proud to call Odenville home. His professional journey reflects a lifelong commitment to public education and to the students, families, and educators of this community.

Greg began his career as a classroom teacher in St. Clair County Schools, teaching U.S. History while also serving as a show choir director and yearbook sponsor. He later became a school administrator, principal, district leader, and state education specialist, supporting schools across Alabama while never losing sight of the needs of local classrooms.

He has served in leadership roles at the school, district, state, and higher-education levels, including as an adjunct professor at Jacksonville State University and as a leadership specialist with the Alabama State Department of Education. His work has consistently focused on school improvement, literacy, leadership development, and student achievement.

Greg holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and has spent decades working directly with educators to strengthen instruction, improve outcomes, and build positive school cultures. Today, he continues to work in education while advocating for strong, transparent, and student-centered leadership for St. Clair County Schools.
